Legal advice is free for Sharlston residents
Free advice on everything from accidents to making a will is on offer for Sharlston residents.
Legal experts from Barnsley firm, Raleys Solicitors, will be holding a workshop for people to ask any questions they may have about legal matters affecting them.
The next surgery takes place on Monday, April 12 at Sharlston Welfare and Sports Club, High Street, from noon-3pm. Regular surgeries will be held at the same time on the second Monday of every month.
People will be able to speak to solicitors about a wide range of issues, including what to do in the event of an accident at home, work or in a car, how to make a will or how to start a compensation claim for occupational illness – whatever questions people want to ask. The initial consultation is completely free of charge.
Raleys Solicitors has worked with the Yorkshire Area NUM to organise regular one-to-one advice sessions in Yorkshire’s mining communities. The workshops are open to everyone in the community.
“These surgeries have proved really popular,” said Raleys solicitor Debra Allen.
“They give people an opportunity to come along and ask all sorts of legal questions which we are happy to help them with. Our aim to offer open, honest and straightforward advice on any area of law to members of the whole community,” she said.
Contact your local NUM representative for more information. Debra Allen is available on 01226 603 207 for non-union enquiries.
